Street Portraits – Entry 4

Before Uni, my fellow student Amanda and I went out to take a few more street portraits as I still needed to get a couple more to complete the set. A lot of people refused and it was quite disheartening; some people were polite about it, others were downright rude. Akin to in when I went to London, it was a really sunny day and this made it difficult to get a good picture without overexposure, though when in the shade the pictures came out lovely as there was the right amount of light for a nice shot.

We approached two men who were chatting and happily obliged when we asked if we could take their picture. These photos were taken in the shade which made it easier to get the settings right, though they had to be slightly adjusted at the start for the pictures to be perfect. I really like the way these turned out as there is a good amount of light even though its completely in the shade.

I only managed to grab these quick shots of the other guy, though the first one came out really nice and crisp.

I approached this lady who was really friendly, the sun was shining brightly where she was sitting so the settings didn’t work out straight away and had to be majorly adjusted. Though in the end the photos came out really well.

Lastly we approached a delightful couple, they were sat in the shade so the photos came out rather well. They have wonderfully characterful faces and I’m glad they agreed to have their pictures taken.
